us there. we have had for years of president obama. he has not been able to deliver. we cannot afford four more years. i had my mind made up, but this confirms it. i appreciate the opportunity to see the debate and comment on it. >> thank you very much. next is a telephone call from kevin in a staten island and is also an independent. >> the debate was good, and i enjoyed it. they gave me perspective of both individuals and the path of a mean to take. just like a previous caller said, we do not know what his plan is. it is like "the art of war." if we are going to vote for you, tell me what you are going to do. a good leader informs his soldiers of what they are going to do and how they will go about a plan of attack. you do not to say go into the ravine while meanwhile the enemy is sitting on the planks. that is why obama is telling me what he is going to do, and i have seen what he is going to do. i want a guy that will go after the guy who came after us. 9/11 said a lot. >> thank you, kevin. now we go to steve in the debate hall. >> leon emerson and samantha shepherd both here insi

not hear it. >> in response to the romney video, an obama video surfaced from 14 years ago in which he discusses market forces and competition, but also the redistribution of wealth. let's take a look. >> it is figuring out how we structure government systems that pool resources and facilitate some redistribution, because i actually believe in redistribution, at least a certain level to make sure everybody has got a shot. >> mr. sadler, do you agree with this notion of redistributing wealth from one side of americans to another site? >> i do not agree with that at all. i do not know the context, the full context of what he is saying, but that was 15 years ago. >> 14. >> 14 years ago. i do not follow that philosophy. i do not see any evidence, in spite of mr. cruz's claims, of him manipulating the public, as he suggests. >> mr. cruz, please respond -- do you believe he is saying he does not believe in redistribution? >> of course president obama believes in wealth distribution. been clear is that he supports president obama. this president has engaged in reckless fiscal policies. we hav

and spending policies are threatening the financial foundation of our country. every year since barack obama has been president,, the federal government has spent over a trillion dollars packard more than it has taken in. we have a $16 trillion national debt. we are mortgaging the a future of our children. the national debt today totals $50,000 for every man, woman, and child in in america. we can do better and we will be better when we elect mitt romney and paul ryan on november 6. president obama call would have us believe that this is somehow the new bubble. joe biden -- joe biden. there is the gift that keeps on giving. they would have us believe that somehow this is the normal. that this is the best america can be. they would have us be our best days as a nation are behind us. that up -- we don't believe that. we believe the 21st century will be another american century. we believe our best days are yet to come. we know that to do that, we have to have new leadership in washington d.c. and we need mitt romney and we need paul ryan. the worst employment participation in 30 years -- in the three and a half years of president obama tenure, gdp growth has been 1.5%. historically, for the last seven years, it has been 3.7%. we have had less than half the historical average pared by contrast, in 1984gdp growth was 7.2% print what does that mean when the economy is growing, when small businesses are prospering? they are creating new jobs and people are able to find work. it creates opportunity for everyone. what we have unfortunately is small business after small business facing crushing uncertainty. the single biggest question you hear from business leaders is they don't know between obamacare and dodd-frank and the offshore drilling moratorium in texas. but entrepreneurs expressed to me is the sense of great uncertainty. what will the federal regulators do? and the president keep promising to raise everyone's taxes, which is causing small businesses to keep capital on theidelines and not deploy it because they have so much uncertainty. >> i am t certain that the president is going to raise their once taxes. but you know

about that obama had to brag about in the debate another night. he can't do anything his four years. he's got to go back to the clinton era. the reason the clinton era office is prosperous it wasn't prosperous the first four years of the clinton administration. oh no. it was when the republican congress came in beginning in january of 1995 passing welfare reform, fantastic criminal law provisions, we slipped a tax cut in. that was the republican congress driving the bus and clinton signing what was sent to him. >> a.a. mom writes to you on twitter. it's not about the 60's. it's about the current g.o.p. response to the first black president. total rejection, they say, based race. >> um, the idea that what people don't like about obama is his race is preposterous! more white people voted for obama in 2008 than any democratic president in nearly 40 years. and by the way, where was all this love for blacks in high public positions when clarence thomas wasdom nominated to the supreme court? how about when colin powell was made the first black secretary of state or condoleezza rice the first

the other months of the year? guest: it absolutely does because we are on a political threshold that president obama has been struggling to get over to the other side. when the headlines and every newspaper reads that we are no longer above 8% unemployment, the political implications are greater than what this means in terms of the economy. host: what are the industries that saw the biggest boost from this? guest: hospitality and warehousing added jobs. we did not see any huge jump up or down and other industries. host: when economists look at the numbers, are we seeing a trend or do we not know yet ? guest: economists generally say this has been a positive trend. the one reason september numbers have been used by economists is that usually when the work force, the size of the work force, increases, that justifies that people are out looking for work and it means that people may be have not given up. that has been the case in the previous month but in september, we saw about the labor market grew a lot of people entered the job market and thought they could find a job now, maybe
